●This Website does not show flooding due to unexpected amounts of rainfall, storm surge, or inland flooding, so caution is required even in uncolored areas.
●Please check the information below, which has been released by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and Hokkaido Prefecture in accordance with the partial revision and enforcement of the Flood Control Act on May 20, 2015.
●Flooding predicted areas are areas that have been designated based on the extent and depth of flooding predicted for each river in the event of the largest anticipated heavy rainfall or a planned heavy rainfall.
Even when rainfall levels are lower than expected, flooding is possible, so residents living near rivers or in areas with significant inundation depths should pay close attention to rainfall conditions.
The rainfall amounts for each river used in the calculation are as follows.
This hazard map is based on the "Abashiri River System Abashiri River & Bihoro River Presumed Flooding and Inundation Area Map" published by the Hokkaido Regional Development Bureau in 2016 and the "Abashiri River System Uonashi River Presumed Flooding and Inundation Area Map" and "Presumed flood inundation areas" for the other streams published by the Okhotsk General Subprefectural Bureau in 2018 and 2022, with the inundation figures in each area overlapping.

<Information on landslide disasters>
●Based on the Act on Sediment Disaster Countermeasures for Sediment Disaster Prone Areas (commonly known as the "Sediment Disaster Prevention Act"), sediment disaster warning areas ("yellow zones") and sediment disaster special warning areas ("red zones") are designated by Hokkaido Prefecture as areas where there is a risk of harm to residents in the event of cliff failure or debris flows.
●This Website was created for the purpose of providing information for evacuation behavior and activities when there is a risk of sediment disasters due to heavy rain, etc. by informing people that there is a potential landslide area near their place of residence.
